Project Title: GIS Development Along the U.S. - Mexico Border

Objectives:
The primary emphasis of the research included the Imperial Valley of
California and teh Mexicali Valley of Baja, California. Specific
objectives of the research include
(1) Creation and coordination of a GIS database for locales on the
border, especially for the Nogales and Mexicali regions.
(2) Transfer the database and GIS modeling of sediment movement related
to other chemical contaminants through water and soil within the salton
Sea-Mexicali region.
(3) Enhance the model of emergency respponse in an ARCVIEW form for
local use.
