Objectives:
The objective of this project were to characterize the heavy-duty truck
fleet crossing the border into California and to estimate emissions from
these trucks. The main focus was on the Tijuana-San Diego regioon
border crossing at Otay Mesa. To estimate emissions from idling trucks,
the researchers used the USEPA MOBILES model.
